Objective: Students will learn about the moment Adam and Eve disobeyed God, which is called The Fall, and how this first sin affected all of humanity. They will understand:

• That God created Adam and Eve in His image and gave them the gift of free will.
• That Adam and Eve chose to disobey God by eating the fruit from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.
• That this disobedience was the first sin, called Original Sin, and it brought suffering, death, and separation from God's grace into the world.
• That all people are born with Original Sin, and that we need God’s grace through Baptism to be made children of God again.
• That even though Adam and Eve sinned, God still loved them and promised to send a Savior—Jesus Christ—to save us from sin.
