All of the readings at mass, the beautiful signs and symbols, the wreath, the lavender vestments worn by the priests - they all have meaning, when we say yes to the Lord - when we set aside special times for prayer and devotion. It's a wonderful season, when we enter into it. 

Christmas is more than a day, it's a whole Liturgical season. We celebrate the Nativity of the Lord.
