Objective: Students will learn about God’s faithfulness, mercy, and plan of salvation from the time of exile to the coming of the Savior. They will understand:

  • That God allowed His people to be taken into exile in Babylon because they turned away from Him, showing that sin has serious consequences.
  • That even when His people were punished and scattered, God never abandoned them and continued to guide them through prophets and promises of hope.
  • That God prepared the hearts of His people for the coming of the Savior through John the Baptist, who preached repentance and baptized those who wished to follow God more faithfully.
  • That God fulfilled His promise by sending Jesus Christ, the Messiah, who came humbly to teach, heal, and save the world.
  • That Jesus showed obedience, love, and mercy, teaching that true greatness comes from serving God and caring for others.
  • That through the journey from exile to Jesus, we learn that God is always faithful to His promises and calls us to trust Him, repent of our sins, and follow His Son with faithful hearts.
