Objective: Students will learn about God's justice, mercy, and plan for humanity from the time of Noah to the Tower of Babel. They will understand:

  • That God sent the flood because the world was filled with sin, but He showed mercy by saving Noah and his family.
  • That Noah was faithful and obeyed God by building the ark and protecting creation.
  • That the flood is a symbol of baptism, which washes away sin and gives us new life in God.
  • That the dove and olive branch are signs of peace, new life, and the Holy Spirit.
  • That God made a covenant with Noah and used the rainbow as a sign of His promise to never flood the earth again.
  • That Noah’s children repopulated the earth and became the ancestors of many nations.
  • That the people at Babel became prideful and tried to build a tower to reach Heaven without God.
  • That God confused their language to stop their prideful plan and scattered them across the earth.
  • That pride leads us away from God, but love, obedience, and faith bring us closer to Him.
