Objective: Students will learn about God’s faithfulness, power, and plan to save His people through the story of Moses, Pharaoh, and the Exodus from Egypt. They will understand:

• That God heard the cries of the Israelites who suffered as slaves in Egypt and remembered His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
• That God chose Moses and his brother Aaron to lead His people and commanded Pharaoh to let the Israelites go.
• That Pharaoh’s pride and disobedience brought ten plagues upon Egypt, showing that the Lord is greater than all false gods.
• That God protected His people during the first Passover through the blood of the lamb, a sign of His saving power.
• That when Pharaoh finally released the Israelites, God led them with a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night.
• That God parted the Red Sea so His people could cross safely, and He destroyed Pharaoh’s army when they tried to follow.
• That through these mighty acts, God proved His power to save, His faithfulness to His promises, and His love for His chosen people.
• That the story of the Exodus reminds us to trust God completely, for He is always with us and will lead us to freedom.
