Objective: Students will learn about God’s guidance, faithfulness, and call to obedience shown through the lives of Samuel and King Saul. They will understand:

• That God answered Hannah’s prayer by giving her a son, Samuel, and called him to be a prophet who listened and obeyed His voice.

• That the Israelites learned an important lesson when they treated the Ark of the Covenant like a good luck charm instead of trusting and obeying God.

• That true faith means turning away from sin and following God’s commands with a sincere heart.

• That Saul was chosen by God to be Israel’s first king, but his pride and disobedience led to his downfall.

• That God values obedience more than sacrifice and calls His people to serve Him with humility and trust.

• That through these stories, we learn God’s people are strongest when they listen to His voice, obey His commands, and remain faithful to His plan.
