Objective: Students will learn about God’s loving plan for each person and the journey that leads to Heaven. They will understand:

• That God created each human person with a body and an immortal soul, showing that every life is sacred and precious.
• That God made us in His image and likeness and gave us free will so we can choose to love Him and follow what is right.
• That sin enters the world when people turn away from God, but God never stops loving us or calling us back to Him.
• That God sent Jesus Christ to save us from sin and open the gates of Heaven through His life, death, and Resurrection.
• That through Baptism, we begin our journey to Heaven as children of God and members of His Church.
• That God guides us on the way to Heaven through prayer, the Sacraments, Scripture, and the teachings of the Church.
• That following Jesus each day—by loving God, helping others, and choosing what is right—leads us closer to eternal life with Him in Heaven.
