Objective: Students will learn about God as the Creator and how creation reveals His wisdom, power, and love. They will understand:

  • That God existed before all creation and has no beginning and no end.
  • That God is eternal, all-powerful, all-wise, and perfectly good.
  • That God created the heavens and the earth and everything that exists.
  • That God alone can create something from nothing.
  • That everything God created is good because it comes from Him.
  • That God created the world freely out of love and not because He needed anything.
  • That human beings are the greatest visible part of creation and are made in the image and likeness of God.
  • That every human person has dignity and value because each person is created by God.
  • That God gave human beings a spiritual soul, intelligence, and free will.
  • That creation is not an accident but was made with wisdom, order, and purpose.
  • That the beauty and order of creation help us recognize that God exists.
  • That creation points to God as its Creator and reflects His wisdom, power, and goodness.
  • That God created each person to know Him, love Him, serve Him, and be happy with Him forever in Heaven.
  • That God continues to guide and care for creation through His Divine Providence.
  • That God calls every person to holiness and invites us to follow His plan with trust and faith.
  • That God has entrusted creation to our care and calls us to be good stewards of the world He has made.
  • That stewardship includes caring for the earth, respecting human life, and using God's gifts wisely.
  • That caring for creation is one way we show gratitude and love for God, our Creator.
