Objective: Students will learn about how God chose and formed a people to prepare the world for the Savior. They will understand:

• That God chose Abraham and made a covenant with him to begin His chosen people.
• That God’s promise continued through Isaac, Jacob, and the twelve tribes of Israel.
• That God gave Jacob the name Israel, and his family became a great nation.
• That God remained faithful to His people, even when they made mistakes or sinned.
• That Joseph suffered but remained faithful, and God used his life to save many people.
• That God can bring good out of difficult situations and always works according to His plan.
• That God is always faithful to His promises and never abandons His people.
• That God calls His people to trust in Him, obey Him, and remain faithful in all circumstances.
• That through God’s chosen people, He would send the Savior, Jesus Christ, to redeem the world.
