Objective: Students will learn about how God revealed His Son, Jesus Christ, to the world through His humble birth, the mystery of the Incarnation, and the witness of those who honored Him. They will understand:

• That Mary and Joseph traveled to Bethlehem in obedience to the Roman census.
• That Jesus, the Son of God, was born in a humble stable and laid in a manger.
• That Jesus is both true God and true man who came into the world to save us.
• That the Incarnation means that God became man in the Person of Jesus Christ.
• That Jesus has both a human nature and a divine nature united in one Person.
• That Jesus is perfectly holy and did not have Original Sin.
• That the Holy Trinity is one God in three Divine Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
• That God became man to save us from sin and open the way to Heaven.
• That the Magi followed a star and honored Jesus as King and God.
• That the gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh reveal who Jesus is and His mission.
• That Simeon recognized Jesus as the promised Savior and a light for all people.
• That John the Baptist prepared others to recognize Jesus as greater than all.
• That giving homage means honoring, worshiping, and following Jesus.
• That we are called to respond with faith, humility, and love, honoring Jesus as our Savior.
