Objective: Students will learn about how God saved His people through Moses and led them out of slavery. They will understand:

• That the Israelites were God’s chosen people who lived in Egypt and grew into a great nation.
• That a new Pharaoh enslaved the Israelites out of fear and treated them harshly.
• That God protected Moses and prepared him for a special mission.
• That God called Moses to lead His people out of slavery in Egypt.
• That Moses felt afraid, but trusted God’s plan.
• That God sent Moses and Aaron to speak to Pharaoh and demand freedom for His people.
• That Pharaoh hardened his heart and refused to obey God.
• That God sent plagues upon Egypt to show His power.
• That God gave the Israelites instructions for the Passover to protect them from the final plague.
• That the Israelites were spared when the angel passed over their homes.
• That Pharaoh finally allowed the Israelites to leave Egypt.
• That God guided His people with a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night.
• That God parted the Red Sea so His people could escape.
• That Pharaoh’s army was defeated when the waters returned.
• That God saved His people and led them to freedom.
• That we are called to trust God and follow His guidance in our lives.
