Objective: Students will learn about the Catholic Church and how Jesus Christ founded, guides, and protects her. They will understand:

  • That Jesus Christ founded the Catholic Church.
  • That Jesus chose the Apostles to lead His people.
  • That Saint Peter was given a special role as the first pope.
  • That the Pope and bishops continue the mission of the Apostles.
  • That the Church is the Mystical Body of Christ.
  • That Baptism makes us members of the Church.
  • That Jesus is the Head of the Church.
  • That the Holy Spirit gives life and holiness to the Church.
  • That Jesus promised evil would never destroy His Church.
  • That divisions among Christians are sad because Jesus prayed for unity.
  • That the Church founded by Christ continues fully in the Catholic Church.

Clara Jennings is a lifelong Catholic and passionate educator. Raised in a devout family, she brings her faith into every lesson, helping students grow in both knowledge and virtue. In her free time, Clara enjoys reading spiritual classics, baking with her nieces and nephews, and volunteering at her parish's RCIA program. She finds joy in quiet mornings, the Rosary, and good coffee shared with friends.
