Objective: Students will learn about The Great Commission and the mission Jesus gave to His Church. They will understand:

  • That Jesus commanded His Church to preach the Gospel and baptize all nations.
  • That Jesus promised to remain with His Church and guide her through the Holy Spirit.
  • That the Church faithfully teaches and preserves the truths revealed by Christ.
  • That the Magisterium, led by the Pope and the bishops, teaches with the authority given by Jesus.
  • That the Church teaches through both Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition.
  • That papal infallibility is a special gift that protects the Church from teaching error in matters of faith and morals.
  • That Catholics can trust the Church because Christ continues to guide and protect her until the end of time.
