Objective: Students will learn about how God formed and guided His people, the Israelites, and remained faithful to them even when they struggled to trust and obey Him. They will understand:

• That God led the Israelites into the desert and cared for them by providing food and water.
• That God taught His people to trust Him each day.
• That God made a covenant with His people and gave them the Ten Commandments.
• That God’s law teaches us how to love Him and others and keeps us in friendship with Him.
• That the Israelites sinned by worshipping the golden calf and turning away from God.
• That God forgives those who repent and turn back to Him.
• That God is the true King of His people.
• That the Israelites asked for earthly kings, and their disobedience led to division and suffering.
• That we are called to trust God and follow Him as our one true King.
