Objective: Students will learn about how God sent prophets to guide His people and prepare the way for the Savior. They will understand:

• That God chose prophets to speak His message and guide His people.
• That prophets were sent to call the people to repentance and faithfulness to God’s covenant.
• That prophets often faced rejection because people did not want to turn away from sin.
• That God blessed His people when they listened and followed Him.
• That turning away from God brought hardship, but He never abandoned His people.
• That the prophet Isaiah revealed important truths about the coming Messiah.
• That Isaiah taught that the Savior would be humble and would come to defeat sin and death.
• That many people expected a powerful earthly king, but God’s plan was greater.
• That the prophet Jeremiah warned the people to repent and return to God.
• That the people did not listen and suffered the consequences of their sins.
• That God remained faithful and showed mercy by restoring His people.
• That John the Baptist prepared the way for Jesus by calling people to repentance.
• That John baptized Jesus and revealed Him as the Savior.
• That Jesus is the fulfillment of the prophets and the fullness of God’s revelation.
• That we are called to listen to Christ and follow Him faithfully each day.
