During the Christmas season, the Nativity Scene provides us with a special visual presentation to represent the birth of Jesus.
During the Christmas season, the Nativity Scene provides us with a special visual exhibition to represent the birth of Jesus. To fully appreciate all the Nativity encompasses, it is important to understand its origins and the context in which it was created.
Distinct Nativity Scenes and the traditions surrounding them can be found all over the world, and usually when we look at a Nativity Scene, we see the Christ Child, with Mary, Joseph, animals, and occasionally the shepherds and the wise men.
Objective: In this course, students will learn all about the Nativity Scene and what it represents. Students will learn where the idea came from and how it plays a role during the Christmas season.
